Friday Night Lights here connote something far, far different than in most places.

Runners reflected in a pond during a fundraiser in Alton Baker Park, Eugene, Ore. It is a city that loves to run.

Eugene is a fine place to view track and field athletes, as during a Prefontaine Classic meet at Hayward Field.
