GULF SHORES, Ala. - Two of the final three members of Vanguard Track and Field competed at Mickey Miller Blackwell Stadium on Friday during the NAIA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Michaela Schaeffer (SR/Huntington Beach, CA) recorded her second place mark of 12.12 meters (39 feet 9 inches) on her first of six attempts. The winning leap was 12.40m in the Triple Jump. Schaeffer's mark was a personal best and broke her own school record of 11.89 meters set back on March 24th of this season. Noah Rogers (SR/Costa Mesa, CA) competed in the 110m high hurdles and finished with a time of 14.86 but did not advance to Saturday's finals.
