The rich heritage of Westmont Women's Soccer was on display on Saturday, April 20 as national champions, All-Americans, scholar-athletes, conference and national MVPs and Warriors from multiple classes gathered at Lovik Field for Alumni Weekend. Festivities began with a five-on-five small sided tournament comprised of six teams, each of which included both alumni and current players. The tournament was organized by alumna Heather Brown Alcaraz ('08). "It is rather competitive, but it is a great time to get together and bond over soccer and being a part of a rich program," said Westmont head coach Kristi Kiely. "The intensity is just a part of the culture of the Westmont soccer program. "The small-sided tournament is great because it is played on a small field, which is good for us alumni. They also get to play with current players and get to know them in conversations that go on between the games."
