Q&A: Big West Champion Raquel LambdinPublished by
Raquel Lambdin is ready for her first appearance at the NCAA Finals when she races in the 1,500-meter semifinals on Thursday afternoon at Hayward Field at the University of Oregon. Lambdin, a junior from Camarillo, Calif., is a two-time champion in the 1,500 and currently ranks second on the Aggies' all-time list. After winning the Big West title, Lambdin went to the NCAA West Prelim Meet at the University of Arkansas two weeks ago where her late surge in the quarterfinals gave her fifth place in her heat and punched her ticket to Oregon.
