The family that runs together stays fit together. That’s the philosophy behind Keely Groves’ decision to have her two daughters, Savannah, 14, and Gabriella, 11, join her on the 5K run Sunday at the Kaiser Permanente Women’s Fitness Festival.

After finishing their 5Ks, Holli Churchwell, left, and Amy George, cheer on Fleet Feet Davis running group teammates. Johna Whitley, far right, who didn’t run, supportsKaia Fitness women’s fitness program members. At left, Kristina Serin and Travis Folsom, pass out medals to half marathon runners.

Nancy Steger, RN, center, from Kaiser in Roseville fans herself as she worked at the body composition testing booth at Kaiser Women's Festival on Sunday June 8, 2014 in Sacramento. "We have had a lot come through and this has been very inspiring to see all age groups of moms and daughters," said Steger. At left is Melanie Roof an Health Educator from Kaiser.

Sisters Cindy Schnepel, 28, of Los Angeles, left, and Amanda Schnepel, 35, of Cool, right, celebrate Amanda's first half marathon near the finish line at Kaiser Women's Festival on Sunday June 8, 2014 in Sacramento. Cindy came to support her sister through the race.

Kristina Serin, 21, of Carmichael, and Travis Folsom, 25, of Folsom, kept their enthusiasm as they passed out medals to half marathon runners at Kaiser Women's Festival on Sunday June 8, 2014 in Sacramento. They were with Fleet Feet and said they arrived at 4:30 am to set up and didn't anticipate leaving until after 4pm.
