On Monday November 3rd, University of California Merced Cross Country runner Sofia Rios won an individual championship at the Cal Pac Conference Cross Country Championships in Fresno. Not only was this a milestone victory for Rios, but it also marked a major milestone for UC Merced Athletics. When Rios crossed that finish line, she became the first athlete at UC Merced, whether part of a team or individually, to win a Cal Pac Championship.
