Kramer and Grant Advance to FinalsPublished by
Westmont's Evan Kramer and Jacob Grant each advanced to the finals of their respective events at the NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championships in Johnson City, Tennessee.
Grant advanced by placing fifth in the 1,000 meter prelims in a time of 2:29.77. The time was nearly three seconds faster than his season best. The finals, which consists of a field of eight runners, will take place tomorrow at 2:35 p.m. EDT/11:45 a.m. PDT
Kramer claimed the last spot in the finals of the men's mile, completing the race in a time of 4:20.68. With just 2.42 seconds separated the top 10 times, tomorrow's final should prove to be quite competitive. The race is set to be run at 12:35 p.m. EDT/9:35 a.m. PDT.
Madison Herrera competed in the women's 60 meter hurdles, posting a time of 9.28 and finishing 19th.
