Westmont's Kate Stuart and Melissa McGregor have been named to the Capitol One Academic All-America College Division women's cross country/track and field teams as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Stuart was named to the first team while McGregor was honored as a member of the second team. Stuart, a senior from Gig Harbor, Washington, earned a 3.86 GPA in biology while McGregor, a senior from Stockton, recorded a 3.84 in sociology. Both student-athletes graduated from Westmont in May. Stuart is a four-time NAIA All-American. In November, Stuart earned Cross Country All-American honors by finishing fourteenth at the NAIA National Championships in Vancouver, Washington. At the NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championships in March, Stuart earned All-American honors in the mile with a fourth place finish and in the distance medley relay as part of the Warriors' fifth place team. Last month, Stuart finished fourth in the 1500 meters at the Outdoor Track and Field National Championships to capture her fourth All-American title.
