(Oakland, CA) The UC Merced men's and women's cross country team traveled to the east bay over the weekend to compete in the Mills Invitational.  Coach Spencer Castro's crew was to use this as a measuring stick to gauge the young team as they prepare to try and make a run at the Cal Pac Championships later on this year.  If this meet was a litmus test, the Bobcats had some mixed results, but should be able to make some noise later on this year.  "The field was tougher than last year, "remarked Castro. "William Jessup put on a stellar performance, but we seemed to struggle with the hills."
