No. 9 Cougars Take Fourth At Pomona-Pitzer InvitationalPublished by
CLAREMONT, Calif. Freshman Andrew Tallamas led the ninth-ranked Cal State San Marcos cross country team to a second place finish at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational Saturday at Blanchard Park. The Cougars actually tied with ninth-ranked NCAA Division II and CCAA top team Cal Poly Pomona with 70 points, but won the tiebreaker with sixth man Michael Waltrip placing 28th. Host Pomona-Pitzer won the event with 35 points. "I am very pleased with the performance that both the men and women gave today," said head coach Steve Scott.
