Cross Country Teams Place SecondPublished by
In a meet featuring most of top teams in the Golden State Athletic Conference, Westmont's men's and women's cross country teams each finished second at the Biola Invitational. The race served as a tune-up on the same course as will be used in two weeks for the GSAC Championship.
In the men's 8,000 meter race, #8 The Master's finished first with 26 points while the Warriors tallied 65. Biola recorded 78 points to take third with Arizona Christian finished fourth with 86.
The men's race was won by John Gilbertson of The Master's in a time of 25:04. Evan Bradford was the Warriors top finisher, placing fourth in a time of 25:38. Matt Day finished in eleventh place in a time of 26.29 while Jake Jeanson placed thirteenth with a time of 26:36.
Evan Kramer's time of 26:52 earned him a seventh place finish. Paul Anderson completed the Warriors' scoring in twentieth place in a time of 27:00.
